I read that Angela Merkel of Germany is very upset .She may have been spied on since 2002 ?
I am sure of a lot of spying by other countries as well, it has been going on forever so I keep reading.

This is like a trailing vine. For more background, first see:

Obamacare. The latest dust storm that is brewing is the talk on the streets everywhere but we need to go back and look at past connections. Let us remember another story first though.
Meanwhile, a key witness who had been cooperating with federal investigators was later found fatally shot in front of a Washington, D.C., church. A police officer found the body of Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, slumped dead inside his car.

At the time, investigators said they didn’t have any information connecting the murder to the passport case. After one year of investigation of the homicide, there have been no arrests.

The passport has not been released.

Excerpted from The Washington Times, April 19, 2008: A key witness in a federal probe into passport information stolen from the State Department was fatally shot in front of a District church, the Metropolitan Police Department said yesterday.

Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, who had been cooperating with a federal investigators, was found late Thursday night slumped dead inside a car, in front of the Judah House Praise Baptist Church in Northeast, said Cmdr. Michael Anzallo, head of the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

And this one:
We are pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Stanley Inc., including its subsidiary operations Oberon and Techrizon. The powerful combination of our U.S. federal business unit and Stanley brings additional resources and capabilities to clients, career opportunities for our professionals, and long-term value for shareholders. Together, CGI and Stanley share deep federal government expertise, a strong commitment to professionals, and a focus on operational and delivery excellence.,_Inc.
Stanley, Inc. (NYSE:SXE), acquired by CGI Group in 2010, is an information technology company based in Arlington, Virginia. Founded in 1966, it operated as a small, entrepreneurial consulting company.
Stanley made its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2006, selling 6.3 million shares for $13.00/share, raising $81.9 million. A majority of stocks are owned by officers, directors and employees (the latter through an employee stock ownership plan).
The company’s largest customer is the U.S. Army. It also holds contracts with the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, Department of State, and Department of Homeland Security. It operates facilities for the production of United States passports and for mailroom work and data entry for applications for U.S. visa and citizenship.
CGI, the designer of the Obamacare website and computer system, is the parent company of Stanley, Inc., whose employees (2) along with an employee of Analyst Corp, were investigated for the State Department passport breaches involving said passports of Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barrack Obama.

The Analyst Corp employee, one Leiutenant (his name, not rank) Quarles Harris, was reprimanded but not fired. Analyst Corp is a small company of approximately 100 employees at that time. It’s CEO was at that time John Brennan, now Director of the CIA.

As an side note, Leiutenant Quarles Harris was murdered in DC in 2008.

Though Brennan’s connection to CGI are tenuous at best, it is strengthened by the fact that the Stanley Inc co-conspirator Analyst Corp (in the passport breach matter) was a tiny company.

Did Brennan have direct knowledge of the breach?

CGI, finger in alot of pies:
CGI is an active partner in numerous charitable causes, including Share Our Strength®, a nonprofit with the mission of ending childhood hunger in the U.S. by 2015. CGI’s senior vice president and City of New York client executive, Mike Keating, is the executive sponsor of our Share Our Strength partnership.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently reported that more than 17 million children in America are struggling with hunger. CGI works with Share Our Strength to help these children in a number of ways.

Through the partnership effort to connect as many eligible childrenas possible to existing food programs, Mike Keating and other CGI experts worked over the summer to help a state hunger partnership determine where to focus improvements by developing a reporting tool to baseline and track usage data. As a result, in June 2010, 7,251 more children received a meal every day than in June 2009. CGI plans to replicate this successful pilot and roll out similar tools to other states and municipalities.

CGI Group Inc. (CJ5A) founder Serge Godin said the “stars were aligned” when he capitalized on a strong Canadian dollar and depressed European economy to buy Logica Plc for $2.6 billion last year. That constellation has spurred a surge in shares of CGI and made Godin a billionaire.
CGI, an information-services company based in Montreal, has jumped 53 percent this year on the Toronto Stock Exchange, lifting its market value to C$10.9 billion ($10.5 billion). Godin owns 31.9 million shares, according to the company, valued at more that $1 billion.
CGI will complete the integration of Logica UK next month as it completes the migration of its acquisition’s HR to the CGI global system.

The Logica brand name will disappear next week.

Canadian IT and business process outsourcing company CGI acquired Anglo-Dutch Logica for £1.7bn last year.

Tim Gregory, president of CGI UK, said CGI has a global strategy and Europe is a key market. He said the Logica acquisition will enable it to expand on the continent.

PRISM whistleblower Edward Snowden may have left Hong Kong hotel, whereabouts unknown

“A MAN staying at the Mira Hotel in Hong Kong under PRISM whistleblower Edward Snowden’s name has reportedly checked out.
The Wall Street Journal reports an American named Edward Snowden checked in to the Mira Hotel in a waterfront area of Hong Kong on June 1, staying for more than a week before checking out yesterday afternoon.

The man, reached in a room booked under Snowden’s name, said he was not the person reporters were looking for and then hung up. Hotel reception then said the room was no longer receiving calls and, a few minutes later, that Mr Snowden had checked out.

Canada’s biggest computer services company, the CGI Group, will buy a smaller rival, Cognicase Inc., after raising its offer to 281 million Canadian dollars, or $180 million. The agreement comes a month after CGI offered 265 million Canadian dollars ($170 million) in cash and stock in a hostile bid for Cognicase. CGI, which is based in Montreal, wants to expand in the United States and its purchase gives it access to Cognicase clients like the National Bank of Canada and the New York City government. Under the revised offer, CGI will pay 4.50 Canadian dollars ($2.87) in cash or shares for each share of Cognicase. CGI will also assume 48 million Canadian dollars ($30 million) in debt, a CGI spokesman, Ronald White, said yesterday. Cognicase is also based in Montreal.
